BIO: William Loes was born in 1929 in Long Island City, NY and died in 2010 in Tucson, AZ. He played major league baseball from 1950 to 1961 as pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles and the San Francisco Giants, appeared in the 1952, 1953 and 1955 World Series, and was selected in 1957 as an All-Star.
