If you have any questions about a particular piece, please ask before the auction ends. BIO: Kenton Lloyd Boyer was born in 1931 in Liberty, MO and died in 1982 in St.Louis, MO. He played major league baseball from 1955 to 1969 as 3rd baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Chicago White Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers, appeared in the 1964 World Series, and was selected 7 times as an All-Star. Boyer was the 1964 National League MVP as well as Major League Player of the Year that year. The brother of Clete Boyer, Cloyd Boyer, Len Boyer and Ron Boyer, Ken Boyer spent two seasons as a St. Louis Cardinals coach and two and a half as their manager, finishing as high as third in 1979.
