BIO: Gilbert Raymond Hodges (born Gilbert Ray Hodge) was born in 1924 in Princeton, IN and died in 1972 in West Palm Beach, FL. He went to college at Saint Joseph's College. He played major league baseball from 1943 to 1963 as infielder and outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the New York Mets, appeared in 7 World Series, was selected 8 times as an All-Star, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022. He managed the New York Mets to the 1969 World Series title.
