BIO: Calvin Ross Abrams (Abie) was born in 1924 in Philadelphia, PA and died in 1997 in Ft.Lauderdale, FL. He played major league baseball from 1949 to 1956 as outfielder for the Brooklyn Giants, Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, and the Chicago White Sox. In 1996 Abrams, who was Jewish, was inducted into the B'nai B'rith Jewish American Sports Hall of Fame, in Washington, D.C.
