If you have any questions about a particular piece, please ask before the auction ends. BIO: George Kenneth Griffey Sr. was born in 1950 in Donora, PA. He played major league baseball from 1973 to 1991 as outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds and the Seattle Mariners, and was selected 3 times as an All-Star. Following his playing days, Griffey remained with the Mariners as a coach in 1993 and was a member of the coaching staff of the 1996 Colorado Rockies. He returned to the Reds as a coach from 1997 to 2001 and was joined by his son, Ken Griffey Jr. (who the Reds acquired in a trade) for his last two seasons on the team's staff.
