BIO: William Frederick Wietelmann was born in 1919 in Zanesville, OH and died in 2002 in San Diego, CA. He played major league baseball from 1939 to 1947 as shortstop for the Boston Bees, Boston Braves, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was also a coach for the San Diego Padres in the mid 1970's.
