BIO: Atanasio (Rigal) Perez was born in 1942 in Ciego De Avila, Cuba. He played major league baseball from 1964 to 1986 as 1st baseman for the Cincinnati Reds, Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies, appeared in the 1970, 1972, 1975, 1976 and 1983 World Series, was selected 7 times as an All-Star, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000. Perez also managed the Cincinnati Reds in 1993 and the Florida Marlins in 2001.
