BIO: Alphonse Thomas was born in Baltimore, MD and died in 1988 in Dallastown, PA. He played major league baseball from 1926 to 1937 as pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Browns and the Boston Red Sox, and appeared in the 1933 World Series.
