BIO: Thomas Andrew Irwin was born in 1912 in Altoona, PA and died in 1996 in Altoona, PA. He played major league baseball for a single season in 3 games in 1938 as shortstop for the Cleveland Indians. After his active days in the game he scouted for the Cleveland organization and was a conductor for the Penn Central Railroad, retiring in 1974.
