BIO: Thomas Francis Holmes (Kelly) was born in Brooklyn, NY and died in 2008 in Boca Raton, FL. He played major league baseball from 1942 to 1952 as outfielder for the Boston Braves and the Brooklyn Dodgers, appeared in the 1948 and 1952 World Series, and was selected in 1945 and 1948 as an All-Star.
