Hand-signed by Ted Bowsfield ORIGINAL or REPRINT: Signature is original, Photo is Type 4 - Second or later-generation photo, printed from a duplicate negative or wire photo process, in a later period SIGNER: Ted Bowsfield COMMENTS / CONDITION: Offered is a postcard-type photo of Ted Bowsfield in his Los Angeles Angels uniform which has been hand-signed by Ted Bowsfield. This is one card from a large collection of over 1000 such photo cards which one dedicated collector assembled and had signed by each respective subject. The description I was given of these noted them as Rowe photos, and though they are in a format that I am not familiar with, they make for a delightfully uniform presentation that one rarely sees in such a large assemblage of autographs. The front image of each card is a true matte-finish photo which is mated on the back to a thin card-stock backing with the simple standard black line frame and baseball design shown. The overall dimensions are 4''x6'', with the resulting thickness being slightly thicker than a standard trading card or postcard. The player's name and team also appear on the back, with a typical example being shown above. (Since the backs are all identical with the exception of the player's name and team name, it seemed a senseless waste of time to scan each one. If you really really want to see a particular back, let me know). The vast majority of these photo cards are in as-new condition with a very small percentage having slight corner bumps. The signature is authentic and is guaranteed to pass inspection by any major authenticator (JSA, PSA/DNA). Please see individual scans for signature quality and condition of each card. BIO: Edward Oliver Bowsfield was born in 1935 in Vernon, CAN. He played major league baseball from 1958 to 1964 as pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels and the Kansas City Athletics. Following his playing career, Ted returned to the Los Angeles Angels organization in public relations before becoming the team's traveling secretary. He later became the stadium director of Anaheim Stadium. He took the same position at the Seattle Kingdome upon its opening in 1976 and held that job until moving on down the road as stadium manager of the newly constructed Tacoma Dome in the mid 1980s. Bowsfield also worked in a consulting position in the development of the Yakima SunDome in Yakima, WA. SKU: JR0772
