BIO: John Craig Dixon was born in 1924 in Charlotte, NC and died in 2011 in Charlotte, NC. He played major league baseball from 1953 to 1956 as pitcher for the Washington Senators, Philadelphia Athletics, Kansas City Athletics and the New York Yankees. As of 2009 Dixon was still working as a manager of a Handy Pantry convenience store in his native hometown of Charlotte, NC.
