BIO: John Rikard Dempsey was born in 1949 in Fayetteville, TN. He played major league baseball from 1969 to 1992 as catcher for the Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers, and appeared in 1979, 1983 and 1988 World Series.
