BIO: Owen Lacey Friend (Red) was born in 1927 in Granite City, IL and died in 2007 in Wichita, KS. He played major league baseball from 1949 to 1956 as infielder for the St. Louis Browns, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs.
