BIO: Otto George Denning (Dutch) was born in 1912 in Hays, KS and died in 1992 in Chicago, IL. He played major league baseball from 1942 to 1943 as catcher and 1st baseman for the Cleveland Indians. While in the minors with the Milwaukee Brewers, Denning became friends with Bill Veeck. After Veeck got out of baseball in the 1980s, he and Denning would often attend Chicago Cubs games, sitting together in the Wrigley Field bleachers.
