He played major league baseball from 1931 to 1940 as pitcher for the Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Browns and the New York Yankees, appeared in the 1939 World Series, and was selected in 1933 as an All-Star. Lynford Hobart Lary (Broadway) was born in Armona, CA and died in 1973 in Downey, CA. He played major league baseball from 1929 to 1940 as infielder for the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians, Brooklyn Dodgers, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
