BIO: Max Cullen Macon was born in Pensacola, FL and died in 1989 in Jupiter, FL. He played major league baseball from 1938 to 1947 as pitcher, 1st baseman and outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals, Brooklyn Dodgers and Boston Braves. After his playing career ended, he managed in the minor leagues for a number of years.
