BIO: Matthew Daniel Batts was born in 1921 in San Antonio, TX and died in 2013 in Baton Rouge, LA. He went to college at Baylor University. He played major league baseball from 1947 to 1956 as catcher for the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Browns, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and the Cincinnati Redlegs. He was the uncle of Danny Heep.
