Lucas Matthew Beech was born in 1972 in Oakland, CA and went to college at the University of Houston. He played major league baseball from 1996 to 1998 as pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies. Beech pitched a perfect game against Louisiana Tech University in 1994. It was the 21st perfect game in NCAA history and the first in the Southwest Conference in 17 years.
