Thomas Loren Barrett was born in 1960 in San Fernando, CA and went to college at the University of Arizona. He played major league baseball from 1988 to 1992 as 2nd baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Boston Red Sox. Barret was a coach for the New Britain Red Sox in 1994. He then managed the Sarasota Red Sox in 1995 and the Michigan Battle Cats in 1996.
