Lot of (2) 1962 RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN Arrives Original 35mm Photo Negatives

He's unselfconscious, but vividly aware of the folks around him. Here he spies a friend from a distance.

Richard Chamberlain is a show business phenomenon…and it hasn't bothered him a bit. His fan mail at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (where his top-rated television series, "Doctor Kildare" is produced) tops that of any male star ever, with a rousing 2,500 pieces received each week. Just a little more than a year ago Dick was almost an unknown. He'd appeared in a few movies in small parts. His "Dr. Kildare" portrayal was just beginning to become known to teh fans but nobody...nobody...had anticipated his unique acceptance by millions around the world. Dick was asked how he'd feel about becoming a "big star." His answer? "I'd like to reach stardom adn see how I could handle the situation," he admintted. By now everyone who works with Dick knows how he handles stardom. He's totally unchanged. He's still completely unselfconscious, as the accompanying photographs indicate.
