BIO: John C Verhoeven was born in 1953 in Long Beach, CA and went to college at the University of La Verne and Westmont College. He played major league baseball from 1976 to 1981 as pitcher for the California Angels, Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins. He was the pitching coach at California State University, Dominguez Hills (1991-1994), Pepperdine University (1996), and Loyola Marymount University (1997). He has been the head coach at Biola University since 1998.
