BIO: John Arthur Fitzpatrick was born in 1904 in LaSalle, IL and died in 1990 in San Diego, CA. Catcher John Fitzpatrick began his minor league career with the Oklahoma City Indians in 1923. Fitzpatrick managed in the minors from 1936 to 1941 and 1944 to 1948. He was a coach for the Hollywood Stars from 1949 to 1952. Fitzpatrick finally made the majors as a Pittsburgh Pirates coach from 1953 to 1956 and a Milwaukee Braves coach in 1958 and 1959.
