He played major league baseball from 1942 to 1955 as pitcher for the Boston Braves, New York Yankees and the Kansas City Athletics, appeared in the 1948, 1951, 1952 and 1953 World Series, and was selected 3 times as an All-Star. As a pitching coach, Sain was widely admired by his players. He coached for six clubs, Kansas City (1959), the New York Yankees (1961-63), Minnesota (1965-66), Detroit (1967-69), the Chicago White Sox (1971-75), and Atlanta (1977, 1985-86). SKU: CL02551
