BIO: James Thomas Brewer was born in 1937 in Merced, CA and died in 1987 in Tyler, TX. He played major league baseball from 1960 to 1976 as pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and the California Angels, appeared in the 1965, 1966 and 1974 World Series, and was selected in 1973 as an All-Star. After his playing career ended, Brewer spent three seasons as the Montreal Expos' pitching coach. He was then an assistant coach at Oral Roberts University from 1979 to 1986. Brewer died from injuries suffered in a car accident on November 16, 1987, one day before his 50th birthday. SKU: L11092
