DATE SHOT: 1930 SUBJECT: George Uhle APPROXIMATE SIZE: 3-1/2"x5-1/2" COMMENTS / CONDITION: Offered is an approximately 3-1/2"x5-1/2" real photo postcard of George Uhle, pictured in his Detroit Tigers uniform circa 1930. I do not know exactly when this card was produced, but it could not have been earlier than the 1950's judging by the standard Kodak back. Comes from a large collection of such postcards, all having standard postcard backs but being postally unused. The vast majority of cards in this collection rate NM to NM-MT condition, but please see scans of the actual card for further details including condition. BIO: George Ernest Uhle (The Bull) was born in Cleveland, OH and died in 1985 in Lakewood, OH. He played major league baseball from 1919 to 1936 as pitcher for the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, New York Giants and the New York Yankees, and appeared in the 1920 World Series. SKU: L08276
