COMMENTS / CONDITION: SUSPENDED---Gene Green, utility outfielder of the Cleveland Indians, was suspended indefinitely by manager Birdie Tebbetts today. Tebbetts said the suspension was because of Green's "attitude and infraction of rules."

BIO: Gene Leroy Green was born in 1933 in Los Angeles, CA and died in 1981 in St.Louis, MO. He played major league baseball from 1957 to 1963 as outfielder and catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds.
