BIO: Gair Roosevelt Allie was born in 1931 in Statesville, NC and died in 2016 in San Antonio, TX. He went to college at Wake Forest University. He played major league baseball for a single season in 1954 as shortstop and 3rd baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
