He played major league baseball from 1935 to 1938 as pitcher for the New York Giants, Boston Bees and the Chicago White Sox, and appeared in the 1936 World Series. Joseph Albert Vance (Sandy) was born in 1905 in Devine, TX and died in 1978 in Devine, TX. He went to college at Southwest Texas State University. He played major league baseball from 1935 to 1938 as pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees. Vance also played football for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1931. SKU: CL02544
