COMMENTS / CONDITION: Offered is an approximately 5"x7" original vintage photo of Frankie Pytlak, pictured in his Cleveland Indians uniform circa 1932. One of a collection of thirty Type 1 original period photos to be offered this week. Each bears the stamping of Apex Photograph Company on the verso, with several also having the stamping of the American League Service Bureau as well. Mose (all?) appear to be photos taken by Chicago photographer George Burke, but I have not done the extensive image searching necessary to confirm, so please just consider that a possibility for your own future research. Guaranteed to be a vintage, original photograph, not a modern day reproduction. See scans for further details including condition and stamping.

BIO: Frank Anthony Pytlak was born in 1908 in Buffalo, NY and died in 1977 in Buffalo, NY. He played major league baseball from 1932 to 1946 as catcher for the Cleveland Indians and the Boston Red Sox. He later coached high school baseball and worked in a sporting goods store.
