BIO: Darold Duane Knowles was born in 1941 in Brunswick, MO and went to college at the University of Missouri. He played major league baseball from 1965 to 1980 as pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles, Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Senators, Oakland Athletics, Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, Montreal Expos and the St. Louis Cardinals, appeared in the 1973 World Series, and was selected in 1969 as an All-Star. He is best known as a member of the Oakland Athletics bullpen in the early 1970s and is the only player ever to pitch in all seven games in one World Series. Following his playing days, Knowles was a coach for the 1983 St. Louis Cardinals and a member of the Philadelphia Phillies staff in 1989 and 1990.
