BIO: Robert Jose Watson (Bull) was born in 1946 in Los Angeles, CA and died in 2020 in Houston, TX. He played major league baseball from 1966 to 1984 as 1st baseman and outfielder for the Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and the Atlanta Braves, appeared in the 1981 World Series, and was selected twice as an All-Star. After his playing career ended, Watson was an Oakland Athletics coach for three years. He was the assistant GM of the Houston Astros from 1989 to 1993, and became the second African-American general manager in baseball history when he was named to that post with the Astros in 1994. He later held the same position with the New York Yankees in 1996-1997. He later served as vice president of Major League Baseball, with responsibility for on-field discipline, until his retirement at the end of 2010. SKU: L03336
