See scans for conition and signature quality. BIO: Robert Richard Boyd (Rope, El Ropo) was born in 1919 in Potts Camp, MS and died in 2004 in Wichita, KS. He played major league baseball from 1951 to 1961 as 1st baseman for the Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Athletics and the Milwaukee Braves. For several years after last appearing in the majors in 1961 he continued to "rope" line drives for the Witchita Dreamliners, a top flight national power semi-pro team. After his baseball playing days were over Boyd drove a bus for the Dreamliner Bus Company before retiring in Wichita, Kansas. SKU: CL02427
