He played major league baseball from 1956 to 1971 as infielder and outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Colt .45's, Houston Astros, Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets. The younger of the brothers by seven years, Bob made his major league debut at the age of 18 when he struck out in a pinch-hitting appearance for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1956. After a few years of minor league seasoning he had trials with the Dodgers, who by now were in Los Angeles, in 1960 and '61 before going to the Houston Colt 45s in the expansion draft. He was the regular third baseman in Houston for seven years, setting a National League fielding record with 57 consecutive errorless games in 1962. After baseball, Aspromonte lived in Houston where he has a Coors Beer distributorship. SKU: X01467
