See scans for signature quality and photo condition. BIO: Roberto Francisco (Gonzales) Avila was born in Veracruz, Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave, Mexico and died in 2004 in Veracruz, Mexico. He played major league baseball from 1949 to 1959 as infielder for the Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox and the Milwaukee Braves, appeared in the 1954 World Series, and was selected in 1952, 1954 and 1955 as an All-Star. He was better known in his homeland and other Latin American countries as "Beto", in the majors as "Bobby".
