BIO: William Joseph McCarren was born in 1895 in Fortenia, PA and died in 1983 in Denver, CO. He played major league baseball for a single season in 1923 as 3rd baseman for the Brooklyn Robins. McCarren was a scout for the Boston Red Sox from 1944 until at least 1969.
