BIO: Barry Clifton Foote was born in 1952 in Smithfield, NC. He played major league baseball from 1973 to 1982 as catcher for the Montreal Expos, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and the New York Yankees, and appeared in the 1981 World Series. After retiring, Foote became a minor league manager for the Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays and later a major league coach.
