BIO: Alexis William Kampouris was born in 1912 in Sacramento, CA and died in 1993 in Sacramento, CA. He played major league baseball from 1934 to 1943 as 2nd baseman for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Giants, Brooklyn Dodgers and the Washington Senators. Kampouris is considered to be the first ever Major Leaguer of Greek descent.
