He played major league baseball from 1985 to 2004 as 1st baseman for the Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies, Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants and the Anaheim Angels, and was selected 5 times as an All-Star.
