He played professional football from 1985 to 1999 as quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the San Francisco 49ers, appeared in the 1989 and 1994 Superbowls, was a 7-time Pro-Bowler and 3-time First-Team All-Pro, and was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 2005.
