BIO: Ellis Rena Burks was born in 1964 in Vicksburg, MS. He played major league baseball from 1987 to 2004 as outfielder for the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, San Francisco Giants and the Cleveland Indians, and was selected in 1990 and 1996 as an All-Star. Burks earned a Gold Glove Award in 1990 and Silver Slugger Awards in 1990 and 1996.
