If you have any questions about a particular piece, please ask before the auction ends. BIO: Rickey Henley Henderson (Man of Steal) was born in 1958 in Chicago, IL and died in 2024 in Oakland, CA. He played major league baseball from 1979 to 2003 as outfielder and designated hitter for the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, San Diego Padres, Anaheim Angels, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers, appeared in the 1989, 1990 and 1993 World Series, was selected 10 times as an All-Star, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009. Henderson, who is known for habitually speaking of himself in the third person, was the 1990 American League MVP, earned a Gold Glove award in 1981, and a total of 3 Silver Slugger Awards as an outfielder. He led the American League in stolen bases 12 times, and holds the career stolen bases record with 1406. When time came to vote on his candidacy for the Hall of Fame, he was elected with overwhelming support on the first ballot. Shortly after his induction in Cooperstown in 2009, the Oakland Athletics retired his uniform number 24. After the 2007 All-Star Game, he was appointed as first base coach by the New York Mets. John Martin Kruk was born in 1961 in Charleston, WV. He played major league baseball from 1986 to 1995 as outfielder and 1st baseman for the San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago White Sox, appeared in the 1993 World Series, and was selected 3 times as an All-Star. He retired on July 30, 1995 by telling his manager if he got a hit he was retiring. He singled in the first inning and was lifted for a pinch hitter never to play again. He appeared in the 1996 movie The Fan as "Lanz." He is a commentator on ESPN where he once farted on-screen during a live broadcast of ESPN's Baseball Tonight. SKU: L15216
