BIO: Andrew Charles Benes was born in 1967 in Evansville, IN and went to college at the University of Evansville. He played major league baseball from 1989 to 2002 as pitcher for the San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks, and was selected in 1993 as an All-Star. He is the brother of Alan Benes and Adam Benes, who never made the major leagues. His son, Andrew Benes, was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 47th round of the 2007 amateur draft.
