BIO: Walter William Weiss was born in 1963 in Tuxedo, NY and went to college at the University of North Carolina. He played major league baseball from 1987 to 2000 as shortstop for the Oakland Athletics, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies and the Atlanta Braves, appeared in the 1988, 1989 and 1999 World Series, and was selected in 1998 as an All-Star. Weiss was signed as a 1st round pick in the 1985 amateur draft by the Oakland A's and was the 1988 American League Rookie of the Year. SKU: L11674
