If you have any questions about a particular piece, please ask before the auction ends. BIO: Roy Hilton White was born in 1943 in Los Angeles, CA. He played major league baseball from 1965 to 1979 as outfielder for the New York Yankees, appeared in the 1976, 1977 and 1978 World Series, and was selected in 1969 and 1970 as an All-Star. After retiring from the major leagues in 1979, he spent three seasons playing in Japan for the Tokyo Giants. He served as a Yankee coach for three seasons in the mid 1980s before returning to the coaching staff at the start of 2004. He also spent time as the AAA hitting coach for the Oakland A's. Don Edward Baylor was born in 1949 in Austin, TX and died in 2017 in Austin, TX. He played major league baseball from 1970 to 1988 as outfielder and 1st baseman for the Baltimore Orioles, Oakland Athletics, California Angels, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins, appeared in the 1986, 1987 and 1988 World Series, and was selected in 1979 as an All-Star. After his playing days were over, Baylor was a Milwaukee Brewers coach in 1990 and 1991 and was a member of the St. Louis Cardinals staff in 1992. In 1993, he became manager of the expansion Colorado Rockies, a job he would hold for six years, including 1995 when he was named National League Manager of the Year. After spending 1999 as an Atlanta Braves coach, he was skipper of the Chicago Cubs for two and a half seasons, beginning in 2000. He spent 2003 and 2004 on the New York Mets coaching staff and was a Seattle Mariners coach in 2005. He rejoined the Rockies as hitting coach in 2009, then in 2011 was hitting coach of the Arizona Diamondbacks. SKU: LS12064
