BIO: Edwin Douglas Charles (Ez, The Poet, The Glider) was born in 1933 in Daytona Beach, FL and died in 2018 in East Elmhurst, NY. He played major league baseball from 1962 to 1969 as 3rd baseman for the Kansas City Athletics and the New York Mets, and appeared in the 1969 World Series.
