BIO: Robert Perry Lillis was born in 1930 in Altadena, CA and went to college at the University of Southern California. He played major league baseball from 1958 to 1967 as infielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and the Houston Astros. After retiring as a player, Bob Lillis was a scout for the Houston Astros from 1968 to 1970, the Astros director of minor league instruction in 1972 and an Astro coach from 1973 to 1982. He then managed the Astros from 1982 to 1985.
