BIO: Ted Lyle Simmons was born in 1949 in Highland Park, MI and went to college at University of Michigan and Wayne State University. He played major league baseball from 1968 to 1988 as catcher and 1st baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers and the Atlanta Braves, appeared in the 1982 World Series, was selected 8 times as an All-Star, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020. Donald Martin Slaught (Sluggo) was born in 1958 in Long Beach, CA and went to college at the University of California, Los Angeles. He played major league baseball from 1982 to 1997 as catcher for the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, California Angels, Chicago White Sox and the San Diego Padres.
