BIO: Ronald Ames Guidry (Louisiana Lightning, Gator) was born in 1950 in Lafayette, LA and went to college at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He played major league baseball from 1975 to 1988 as pitcher for the New York Yankees, appeared in the 1977, 1978 and 1981 World Series, and was selected 4 times as an All-Star. In 1978 Guidry received the Cy Young Award and was named American League Pitcher of the Year and Major League Player of the Year.
