If you have any questions about a particular piece, please ask before the auction ends. BIO: Benigno (Felix) Ayala was born in 1951 in Yauco, Puerto Rico. He played major league baseball from 1974 to 1985 as outfielder for the New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles and the Cleveland Indians, and appeared in the 1979 and 1983 World Series. Deron Roger Johnson was born in 1938 in San Diego, CA and died in 1992 in Poway, CA. He played major league baseball from 1960 to 1976 as infielder and outfielder for the New York Yankees, Kansas City Athletics, Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox and the Boston Red Sox, and appeared in the 1973 World Series. After his playing career ended, Johnson spent most of the rest of his life as big league coach. He managed the Salt Lake City Gulls in 1978, then began his coaching career with the California Angels in 1979 and 1980. He was a New York Mets coach in 1981 and a member of the Philadelphia Phillies staff from 1982 to 1984. In 1985 and 1986, he was with the Seattle Mariners, and he spent the next year with the Chicago White Sox. He returned to the Angels as hitting coach from 1989 to 1991. Albert Bluford Walker was born in 1926 in Lenoir, NC and died in 1992 in Morganton, NC. He played major league baseball from 1948 to 1958 as catcher for the Chicago Cubs, Brooklyn Dodgers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Although Walker had been a catcher, as a coach he was a pitching coach. He coached the pitching staff of the famous 1969 Mets. His brother, Verlon Walker, was a longtime Chicago Cubs coach.
